Everett Firefighters quickly contained a fire that damaged three decks at the Greens of Merrill Creek apartments late Tuesday morning. Around 11:30 there were several calls to 9-1-1 about trees burning next to a deck in the 1700 block of Merrill Creek Parkway. The fire was quickly put out but heat led to melting and damage to three decks and firefighters checked three apartments and the roof to make sure the fire didn’t extend. No word yet on what caught the trees on fire or a damage estimate. Here are a few MyEverettNews.com photos from the scene along with an Everett Fire Photo showing future firefighters getting a taste of the action. Click to enlarge.
