What began in Everett many years ago has now moved to Tulalip. The annual Festival of Trees put on by the Providence General Foundation benefits Children’s Services at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. MyEverettNews.com contacted Tina Gilson at the foundation after being asked by many in Everett why the event moved. Here is the explanation via email…

The ballroom at the Tulalip Resort can accommodate a larger number of Guests for our fundraising events. Providence has also grown to serve such a large regional geographic area, our donor family has been expanding as well! Which is a good thing 🙂 The more we can grow in size and fundraising revenue to help benefit our regional healthcare source, the better!

The Festival of Trees kicks off tonight with a silent auction, dinner buffet and live music. Tickets are $60 each. There is a free event, a Community Open House tomorrow (Wed) from 1:00pm – 6:00pm with local community groups, kids crafts events, Santa and Mrs. Claus and more. Later this week is the Gala and the annual Breakfast with Santa. Click here for the full schedule on the Foundation webpage.
