Sausages And Silvertips Mean Fall Has Arrived in Everett, WA
There are two sure ways to tell its Fall in Everett. First, The Annual Everett Sausage Fest starts today and runs through Sunday. Now in its 38th year the Everett Sausage Festival is a family-oriented weekend fair centered around a Bavarian theme. From a traditional Bavarian Dinner to a variety of food booths, children’s games, the Family Entertainment Stage, bingo, carnival, and Bavarian Beer Garden and Stage, they say they have something for everyone. Everett Sausage Fest was founded to support Catholic Education at Immaculate Conception/Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.
The other sign of Fall in Everett is the home opener for the Everett Silvertips hockey club. Currently undefeated in this early season the ‘Tips will face the Kelowna Rockets tonight who had the best record in the WHL last year and also haven’t lost a regular season game this year. Saturday night the Silvertips will take on the Portland Winterhawks. While the Silvertips have been in Everett for a decade there are still a few around who haven’t been to a game. If that’s the case for you, here’s a great primer from the Silvertips called Hockey 101.
