Fish-in

Silver Lake will come alive Saturday with kids fishing for trout.

Kids Fish In

Even if you don’t fish there are adult volunteers willing to help your child reel one in.

It’s one of our favorite events of the year to watch. The annual Kids Fish-In at Silver Lake Park in south Everett. It’s a great event where adult volunteers join parents in helping kids between the ages of 4 – 14 catch trout at the edge of Silver Lake beach. There are 8 sessions scheduled between 7:30am and 2:30pm but you must pre-register. You can’t just show up. Click here for a registration form. Registration forms have to be turned in by Friday afternoon to the Everett Parks and Recreation office at Forest Park. You can also fax them to 425-257-8325 or you can email them to recreation@everettwa.gov. If you have fishing gear, bring it. If not, there is usually some available to borrow. This great event is put on every year by the Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club and Everett Parks and recreation.
