What a wild weather morning in Everett. Happy Friday the 13th!

A wild weather cell moved thru Everett this morning knocking out power to downtown Everett traffic lights but not causing any major damage. According to Neil Neroutsos at Snohomish PUD there were scattered outages in Everett and across Snohomish County that numbered less than a hundred. In Everett, traffic lights were out in the downtown core with intersections up and down Hewitt, California, Wall and Everett avenues becoming four-way stops. Everett Public Works crews have been scrambling to re-sync the lights. According to KING5 TV, the lightning strikes were coming at the rate of 600-700 per hour. Looks like the storms may continue on and off throughout the day. Stay safe and remember when the traffic lights go out at an intersection, it becomes a 4-way stop.
