Sheriff’s K-9 Naps Felony Suspect Near I-5 and Pacific in Everett Wednesday Morning
It didn’t take long for a Sheriff’s K-9 to catch up with a suspect after deputies stopped a car at the Pacific off ramp on Interstate 5 late Wednesday morning. According to Snohomish County Sheriff’s Spokesperson Shari Ireton, Deputies were assisting Everett Police with a weapons call this morning when a deputy spotted the suspect’s car. Deputies followed the car from Highway 526 onto Northbound I-5 and made a felony stop at the Pacific Avenue off ramp. When the car stopped, the suspect hopped over the freeway barrier and ran into some brush and onto the railroad tracks just below the freeway. One of the many patrol cars behind the suspect was a Sheriff’s K-9 and the deputy and dog had no trouble catching the suspect. Ireton says the man is 33 years old was treated for a dog bite to the arm and set to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on an outstanding felony warrant while deputies and Everett police investigate the original weapons call.
