Man Shot During Everett Burglary Was 22 Years Old

Very little new information regarding yesterday’s shooting of a suspected burglar by a home owner in the Fir Grove neighborhood of south Everett. Here’s the latest update from SCSO Bureau Chief Kevin Prentiss…

Major Crimes Unit detectives served a search warrant at the residence yesterday evening. The scene was processed and the body of the burglary suspect was turned over to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. Detectives also seized a vehicle which may be associated with the investigation. The homeowner, who was involved in the shooting, is a 54 year old male. The burglary suspect is a 22 year old male. Preliminary information indicates the homeowner did not know the burglary suspect. Any further identification of the burglary suspect will be made by the Medical Examiner’s Office. No further information or details will be available while detectives conduct their investigation.
