Everett Prosecutor Says No Charges in School Board Scuffle

October 4, 2011

Everett, Police Blotter

No criminal charges to be filed

“Not enough sufficient, admissible evidence that a reasonable person would find that a crime occurred.” That’s the direct quote from Everett City Public Information Director Kate Reardon when asked why no charges were being filed against anyone in the altercation among members at August 24th meeting of the Everett School Board. In spite of a widely circulated video of the incident, Reardon tells me that Everett’s legal team did not think they could find six people to agree that a crime occurred.
