1st Mudslide of 2014 Cancels Sounder Service From Everett to Seattle Monday

1st Mudslides of 2014 causing interruptions for Sounder train service.

Not a lot of detail yet but Sound Transit issued an alert Sunday night that train service between Everett and Seattle is cancelled for Monday January 13th. Apparently there’s a mudslide affecting the rails. No word yet on the location of the slide or how severe it was. We’ll update when we get more information. Meanwhile, Sound Transit says bus service will be provided from Everett station.

Here’s the bus schedule…

Morning bus service – Monday, January 13, 2014:

Everett-Seattle: Board regularly scheduled ST Express Route 510 at Everett Station bay C1, departing approximately every 10-15 minutes. Please note: Additional buses will be available and dispatched when needed to help ease overcrowding on Route 510.

Mukilteo-Seattle: Board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 417 at the Ferry Terminal departing at 5:49 a.m., 6:21 a.m., 6:51 a.m., 7:21 a.m. and 7:53 a.m. Please note: These times do not correspond with regular Sounder schedule.

Edmonds-Seattle: Board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 416 at Edmonds Station bay 4, departing at 5:45 a.m., 6:15 a.m., 6:34 a.m., 6:55 a.m., and 7:42 a.m. Please note: These times do not correspond with regular Sounder schedule
