Comcast Arena Everett Posts Big Losses for April, Hopes to Bounce Back This Summer

Comcast Arena Everett has sluggish April

Both American Idol on July 8th and Sugarland on July 18th are sold out with acts like KISS and Alan Jackson selling well.

Just got back from the monthly Everett Public Facilities District Board Meeting. They’re the people who own Comcast Arena in downtown Everett. (no the City of Everett does not own the arena, the PFD does). It was a bleak financial report for April as the Arena lost more than $80,000.00.  There were a couple of concerts that never materialized and fewer sports events than they had budgeted. For the year, the facility is running about $96,000.00 behind last year but they do hope to make it up this summer with a robust concert lineup. Global Spectrum , the company that manages the arena reported that both American Idols Live on July 8th and Sugarland on July 18th are both sold out with more than 8,000 tickets each. A lot of other concerts have been booked this summer as well.

One other interesting fact at today’s PFD Board meeting, Last year Comcast Arena Everett sold more than 199,000 individual M&Ms.
