Multiple officers responded just before 4 PM.<\/p><\/div>\n

Officers took photos and gathered evidence near the entrance to the field.<\/p><\/div>Still gathering information but a man in his 30s was shot during some type of altercation with another man during a youth football game at Everett Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Everett Police spokesperson Ora Hamel tells MyEverettNews.com officers responded to reports of a person shot just before 4:00 PM. <\/p>\n

Medics were called and the man who was shot was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center. <\/p>\n

His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Hamel says officers believe the two know each other and the shooting occurred near the entrance to the field and not in the stands or stadium. <\/p>\n

The shooter reportedly left the area in a vehicle.<\/p>\n

The Youth League has cancelled the games for the rest of the evening.<\/p>\n

The investigation remains active and at this writing there have been no arrests. We will update when more information is made available.<\/p>\n
