Heads up for those living around Naval Station Everett that there is a drill happening on Tuesday.<\/em><\/p>\n

Photo credit: Naval Station Everett<\/p><\/div> Naval Station Everett will be conducting a security training exercise at the Everett main base Tuesday, Oct. 20. The exercise is scheduled to occur between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. The base North Gate will be closed to commercial vehicles between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

During the exercise, those near the base may hear mass warning announcements from the base’s outdoor speakers.<\/p>\n

The exercise will include security activity near the gates, active emergency response vehicles, and blank rounds. No live ammunition will be used.<\/p>\n

The Navy regularly conducts training exercises to maintain and improve security and emergency response qualifications. These exercises help prepare for a potential real emergency.<\/p>\n
