Was taking photos around Everett, Washington and stopped by the Heron rookery at the east end of the 10th street boat launch at the Port of Everett Monday morning and managed to get this shot.

Just a tip of the hat to the volunteers seen out at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, Washington placing thousands of American flags at the markers of U.S. Veterans today. A few photos. There will not be an organized event this year at the cemetery but it will be open all weekend.

Caught a couple shots of this osprey doing nest duty Saturday morning across from Langus Park on the Snohomish River in Everett, Washington.

The headquarters of the Fire Department in Everett, Washington has added blue lights to the front of the historic station at Oakes and California to honor Officer Rocha and Everett PD.

A sure sign of Spring as Herons have begun building nests in their spot at the northeast corner of the 10th street boat launch at the Port of Everett. I have a lot of work to do on my bird photography but a good Sunday morning to give it a try. – LD
