Around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, deputies and Marysville Fire were called to a residence on Lake Goodwin after there was a reported collision between a personal watercraft and a private dock.
An adult male, the only occupant of the vessel, had been riding a personal watercraft when he collided with a dock and sustained traumatic injuries. Community members who heard the collision responded and were able to remove the subject from the water.
Marysville Fire personnel arrived and performed CPR. However, the victim was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and took custody of the decedent. Positive identification, as well as cause and manner of death, will come from the Medical Examiner.
The Sheriff’s Office Marine Services Unit responded and removed the personal watercraft from the water. The Marine Services Unit also has taken the primary investigative role in this collision investigation.
This remains an active investigation.
