Free Workshop Offers Snohomish County Businesses Path to International Sales

Economic Alliance Snohomish County, the Washington State Department of Commerce, and the Port of Everett will host World Trade Ready: Exporting, E-Commerce & Foreign Trade Zone Workshop, a free workshop for manufacturers and small businesses interested in growing sales through exports.

The event will take place Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Blue Heron Room at the Port of Everett.

Attendees will hear from state export experts on resources available through Washington’s export assistance network, learn how to sell internationally through e-commerce with insight from partner Coupang, a leading e-commerce platform connecting businesses to customers in Korea, and discover how to take advantage of Port of Everett’s Foreign Trade Zone #85 at the Port of Everett, a unique local asset that can reduce costs on imported materials and components.

“Supporting local businesses is essential to building a strong and resilient local economy, and the Port of Everett is proud to work with our regional partners to provide multiple opportunities for our businesses to grow,” says Port Commission President David Simpson.

Additional speakers and a full agenda will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Exporting is one of the clearest paths to growth for Snohomish County manufacturers, and this workshop gives them a direct line to the resources, partners, and markets that can make it happen,” says Ray Stephanson, President & CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County. “By teaming up with the Department of Commerce and the Port of Everett, we’re able to bring these connections directly to our business community.”

Space is limited. Businesses interested in attending can register at https://bit.ly/WorldTradeReady.
