Downtown Everett Goodwill closing on August 14th.
The Goodwill at 3002 Hoyt Ave is closing down after 42 years of operating in Downtown Everett. This comes on the heels of job training and education center closures in Bellingham, Mount Vernon, and Bremerton late last month.
The building was built in 1920 and owned by Goodwill but hasn’t been put up for sale yet. It is a 9,000 square foot building that sits directly across from Imagine Children’s Museum.
The larger Everett Mall Way Goodwill location remains open, as well as the warehouse “bins” outlet on 2208 W Casino Road.
Goodwill claims they plan to reopen the job training centers, but there are no plans to continue running the downtown Everett location.
The downtown Everett Goodwill we be fully closed down on August 14th, 2026. The store is already half empty.
Other thrift-like stores in downtown Everett primarily focus on furniture and more expensive, vintage clothing. The closest thrift stores are not within walking distance, including Luma NW, Value Village and St Vincent De Paul, over 2 miles away.
For those who can travel, the Everett Mall Way Goodwill is a good choice and Bargain Binz Outlet is worth a look. In Lake Stevens and Snohomish, Fabously Frugal and Helping Hands are excellent options.
