Early Primary Results

Early primary data is in for the Everett and Snohomish County races and initiatives.

So far 125,120 ballots have been counted out of 545,960 registered voters in Snohomish County, which would only be only a 22.5% turnout if more ballots didn’t come in. So far 65% of the ballots returned came through drop boxes instead of the mail.

Here’s how things are shaping up for elections of interest to Everett residents:

City of Everett Proposition No. 1
Emergency Medical Services Levy Lid Lift

• Approved: 74.9%
• Rejected: 25.1%

If approved, this proposition would restore Everett’s previously authorized EMS levy to a rate of $0.50/$1,000 of assessed value in each year for 2027 and 2028 to pay for emergency medical care and services, including paramedic services and related expenses described in the Resolution, by authorizing an increase above the maximum levy otherwise permitted under chapter 84.55 RCW. Subsequent levy limits would be based on the 2028 levy. Qualifying seniors, veterans, and others would be exempt (ch. 84.36 RCW).

The top two candidates in the below races would proceed to the general election. More ballots are expected to be counted over the coming days which could change the results.

Rick Larsen holds a large lead over others in the race.

• Edwin H. Feller: 28.1%
• Tomas Scheel: 11.2%
• Devin Hermanson: 11.2%

Legislative District 38 State Senator:

• June Robinson: 66.6%
• Brad Bender: 33.3%

Legislative District 38 State Representative Pos. 1:

• Julio Cortes: 51.7%
• Thomas (Jeff) Kelly: 27.8%
• Annie Fitzgerald: 19.5%

Legislative District 21 State Senator: 

• Marko Liias: 71.3%
• Riaz Khan: 28.2%

Legislative District 21 State Representative Pos. 1:

• Strom Peterson: 54.5%
• Jason Moon: 43.8%
