The Evergreen Arboretum & Everett Animal Shelter is hosting a Pet contest called “Mayors of the Evergreen Arboretum.”
Entries & voting are started back on Saturday, July 18th but there is plenty of time to participate through Wednesday, October 16th at 9 p.m. Votes are $1 and entries are $10.
Winners announced will be announced on October 17, 2026 between 10 a.m. to noon during Autumn Fest Family Fun Day at the Evergreen Arboretum.
Three Pet Mayors will be crowned:
- Dog Mayor
- Cat Mayor
- Stuffie Mayor
Each winning Pet Mayor will receive:
- A photo plaque displayed on the entrance kiosk at the Arboretum
- A pinned winner announcement post on the Evergreen Arboretum Facebook page
- A photoshoot with your candidate at the Evergreen Arboretum
- A one-year Evergreen Arboretum membership
- A goody bag from a local pet store
- A commemorative mayoral sash
- Recognition during Autumn Fest Family Fun Day
Winners will be announced on October 17, 2026 between 10am-12pm during Autumn Fest Family Fun Day at the Evergreen Arboretum.
Winners are encouraged to attend the announcement event, but attendance is not required to win.
