After their building was sold, Grand Leader Mercantile relocated just down the street at 2110 Hewitt Ave, the space previously occupied by Black Forest Mushrooms before it went out of business.
Grand Leader Mercantile remains committed to supporting local small businesses by providing a unique shopping destination featuring dozens of local merchants offering antiques, vintage finds, handmade goods, home décor, gifts, collectibles, and much more.

Grand Leader Mercantile has always been about more than just a store, it’s about community.
When the building that had been home to our store for so many years was sold, we were faced with the heartbreaking possibility that Grand Leader Mercantile might become just another wonderful Everett memory. The thought of losing a place that had brought together so many talented local merchants, loyal customers, and lasting friendships simply didn’t feel right.
As merchants and cashiers, we had the privilege of watching Grand Leader Mercantile become a place where people gathered, shared stories, discovered one-of-a-kind treasures, and supported small businesses. We fell in love with the store long before we ever imagined owning it. We knew what this place meant to our merchants, our customers, and to Everett.
Rather than let that story come to an end, we made it our mission to keep it going.
We were incredibly fortunate to be approached by Howard Bargreen, who had the perfect building for our store. Staying in Everett was never a question, it was a promise. Everett has supported Grand Leader Mercantile from the very beginning, and we wanted to continue being part of the city’s growing small business community.
Our new home at 2110 Hewitt Avenue has been everything we hoped for. It’s a beautiful historic building with character that fits Grand Leader Mercantile perfectly, and it has given us the opportunity to continue growing while remaining in Everett. We’re also grateful that, based on the current plans, our building is one of those expected to remain if the proposed stadium project moves forward. That gives us confidence that we’ve found a place where Grand Leader Mercantile can continue serving the community for many years to come.
Today, you’ll still find many of the incredible merchants who helped make Grand Leader Mercantile such a special destination over the years. Their creativity, passion, and carefully curated collections continue to fill our shelves. Alongside them, we’ve welcomed several wonderful new merchants, bringing even more unique finds, handmade goods, antiques, vintage décor, gifts, collectibles, and locally crafted products to explore.
While our address has changed, the heart of Grand Leader Mercantile has not.
We remain a place where shopping small truly matters, where every purchase supports local families and entrepreneurs, and where every visit feels like stopping in to see old friends. We are excited about the future, not only for our store, but for Everett, and we’re grateful to everyone who has supported us through this new chapter.
