US-2 Blocked at I-5 On Ramp in Everett
US-2 is fully blocked from Interstate 5 to Homeacres for a police investigation into a road rage incident.
Police dispatch describes a shooting involving a driver being pursued near the Southbound I-5 ramp to eastbound US in Everett. Reports are one driver stopped and got out near the homeacres exit and started shooting at the other car.

The inident occured Wednesday, July 22nd around 6:49 PM. The highway reopened around 11 PM.
There is no outstanding threat to the public.
UPDATE 7/24/26:
The victim, a 38-year old male from Oregon was not injured. He was driving a 2008 red Hyndai Fit that was damaged from the gunfire. The suspect fled and the WSP doesn’t has not released a descsription of the vehicle yet.
Update: WSP Detective Nick Brockman is asking for witnesses of the shooting, anyone with information on the suspect or suspect vehicle, or anyone who was in the area at the time with a dash camera to call (360) 757-2008. Your assistance is appreciated as detectives work to locate the suspect and suspect vehicle.
