Everett’s Port Gardner Neighborhood Association is hosting its 5th Annual Community Yard Sale event on July 18th from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This year they will be partnering with the “Towns” neighborhood on the east side of Broadway, near the riverfront.
Like the successful Mother of All Garage Sales event in the Northwest Neighborhood, the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association is coordinating a sale where participants pay to join the event, receive an official sign, and have the location of their sale included on a master map. To support the local community, sign-up proceeds will be donated to neighborhood schools.
“Last year’s sale was such a success that we have repeat sellers as well as new participants,” said Andrea Tucker, Chair of the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association.
“Everyone loves a good yard sale in the summer, and this is a great way to build community and invite people to experience the Port Gardner Neighborhood.”
There will be over 16 sales, some multi-family, offering a range of treasures from antiques, household goods, books and kid’s stuff to furniture, clothing, and even free items.
Shoppers can check the Port Gardner Neighborhood Facebook page on Thursday night for more info and the map of sale locations
“I am grateful for all of the hard work by the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association to support another exciting year of the Community Yard Sales” said Councilmember Paula Rhyne whose council district includes the Port Gardner Neighborhood.
“I look forward to a fun day of community and treasure hunting with neighbors.”
Neighbors are welcome to join the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association meetings on the second Monday of every month at 7pm, starting in September. Location is the Community Resource Center at 3900 Broadway. To sign up for the PGNA Newsletter, email your contact information to Portgardner.everett@gmail.com
