Everett Fire

Shortly after 10 PM this evening, Everett firefighters were called to a house fire on South 2nd Avenue in the Lowell neighborhood.

Firefighters brought the fire under control within 12 minutes of the first crew arriving.

One cat was rescued. There were no injuries. A family of six has been displaced.

Crews are currently on scene conducting overhaul and cleanup. A fire investigator from the Everett Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.

As a safety reminder, make sure your home has working smoke alarms—they save lives. If a fire starts, get out and stay out. Never go back inside a burning building.
