Fugitive Arrested in High-Speed Chase Ending in Everett

At approximately 7:24 PM a Washington State Patrol Trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding near southbound Interstate 5 milepost 204.

The trooper obtained a speed reading of 112 MPH in a posted 60 MPH zone.

After the vehicle failed to yield and stop for several miles the trooper initiated the pursuit at southbound Interstate 5 near milepost 200. During the chase, the suspect exceeded 130 miles per hour.

Police had tried to use spikes in Everett but weren’t successful. Eventually the suspect stopped in near their home in Everett.

The suspect was arrested at 1304 Bruskrud Rd (Tessera Apartments), Everett for:

  • Fugutive (arrest warrant in Virginia)
  • Resisting arrest
  • Reckless driving
  • 3rd DUI in 10 years
  • Attempt to elude

The suspect was booked in Snohomish County Jail under the name of Thad Wayne McLaughlin, Jr.
