Sheriff’s Office Arrests 15-year-old for 1st Degree Assault and Possession of a Stolen Firearm

At approximately 8:50 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 15900 block of Highway 99 in unincorporated Lynnwood.

Upon arrival, they located the victim, a 17-year-old male, with a gunshot wound.

The victim quickly pointed out the fleeing suspect, and deputies apprehended him nearby the scene. The 17-year-old victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Snohomish County SheriffDeputies recovered a stolen pistol with an extended 30-round magazine at the scene, believed to be the weapon used in the shooting.

The 15-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into Denny Juvenile Justice Center for first-degree assault, possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The victim and suspect are known to each other.

This remains an active investigation.
