The American Voices Award (writing) and the American Visions Award (art) are among the highest honors presented through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, recognizing exceptional student work from across geographic regions of the country. Students must first earn a regional Gold Key to be considered for these prestigious awards.

Emi Day of Cascade High School, Chloe Kim of Jackson High School, and Elan Yang of Heatherwood Middle School each earned both a Gold Key and an American Visions Award, a distinction that represents an outstanding level of artistic achievement and places their work among the top submissions in the region.

“These awards highlight the creativity and dedication of our students and the educators who support them every day,” Superintendent Ian B. Saltzman said. “We are proud to see Everett Public Schools students recognized at such a prestigious regional level.”

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation’s longest running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.
