The Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce will host the 2026 State of Everett on Thursday, March 5 at the Historic Everett Theatre, bringing together business leaders, city leadership, major employers, developers, and community partners for one of the region’s most important annual gatherings.

Adding a powerful hometown connection to the evening, Everett native and Super Bowl Champion Abe Lucas will kick off the program with a short welcome.

As highlighted in our Spolight on Abe Lucas, he grew up in Everett and attended Archbishop Murphy High School before going on to play for the Washington State Cougars football.

He was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and recently helped lead the team to a Super Bowl victory. His return to the Everett stage reflects the city’s growing momentum and strong local roots.

The annual address will be delivered by Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin and will outline priorities impacting business and the broader community, including public safety, housing, infrastructure, workforce development, and economic growth.

The 2026 theme reflects a city on the move. Everett is investing in a new outdoor stadium, celebrating championship baseball, welcoming professional men’s and women’s soccer, and preparing to host an official FIFA Fan Zone in 2026.

Beyond the headlines, the city is advancing coordinated investments across neighborhoods and industry sectors that are shaping its next chapter.

“This is the room where partnerships form and ideas gain traction,” said Wendy Poischbeg, CEO of the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce. “The State of Everett brings together the people building this city’s future. From small businesses to major employers, everyone leaves with a clearer sense of direction and opportunity.”
