Shortly after 9:00 a.m., the Everett Fire Department responded to a report of an injured employee inside a tank on a vessel in dry dock at the shipyard located in the 2800 block of Terminal Avenue.
The vessel is a rail/container vessel undergoing work at the shipyard.

Upon arrival, firefighters assessed the situation and conducted a confined space rescue to safely remove the injured employee from the tank.
The tank access was approximately 1.5 feet in diameter and extended about 20 feet down into the vessel. The employee was working in the hull of the ship and reportedly slipped, falling approximately four feet inside the tank and sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
