Providence Regional Medical Center Everett Welcomes Its First Baby of the New Year

Leinel Enrique is the first baby born in Everett in 2026.

Just over five hours after the stroke of midnight, Providence Regional Medical Center Everett’s Family Maternity Center staff helped deliver their first baby of 2026 at the Pavilion for Women and Children (900 Pacific, Everett).

At 5:17 a.m., Fairelis and Leonel Aguirre of Everett said hello to their third child, a 7.3-pound baby boy named Leinel Enrique, who measured in at 20 inches long.

Leinel will be welcomed home by three siblings – Leissibet, 14 (father’s daughter); Heder Moran, 9; and Leslie, 6.

Western Washington Medical Group OB/GYN Karen Myren, M.D., delivered the baby boy.

Hospital staff helped celebrate the momentous birth by gifting the Aguirre family with a newborn gift basket.

In 2025, there were 3,911 births at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
