A new restaurant and fish market opens this Saturday in Everett. The Net Shed Fish Market is located inside “Restaurant Row” at the Port of Everett.
Inspired by the original net sheds that once lined the marina, The Net Shed Fish Market’s name honors those humble structures where fishermen and their families mended nets, swapped stories, shared tools, and strengthened the bonds that tied them to the water.
Here’s how they describe themselves:
“Welcome to The Net Shed, the ultimate destination for seafood lovers. At The Net Shed, we are passionate about bringing the freshest seasonal seafood from local waters, Alaska, Hawaii, and other sustainable fisheries straight to your plate.
Our fish market & kitchen concept ensures that you experience seafood at its best, whether you’re taking home fresh catch from our market or enjoying a deliciously prepared meal in our cozy restaurant.”
Their tide-to-table seafood menu is described as honoring “classic coastal dishes while keeping them fresh and relevant, balancing comfort with creativity.”
Having a place in Everett to host a year-round fish market makes sense. They may not be throwing salmon around for TV cameras, but it fills a need that had been occurring naturally with boats stopping by for temporary “dock sales.”
The Net Sheds’ space includes a 2,700-square-foot interior unit with additional outdoor patio space along Seiner Wharf overlooking the commercial fishing dock.
The market and fish bar’s offerings will change daily, just like the tides.
Besides the restaurant offerings, they’ll have grab & go items including: beer battered fish & chips with Alaskan Cod or Wild Halibut, hot honey citrus shrimp & chips, calamar & chips, Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls, Salmon Nicoise, Cioppno, and Maine Lobster Rolls.
The Net Shed Fish Market is located at 1500 Seiner Drive in Everett at the Port of Everett’s “Restaurant Row.”
Hours of operation will be 11am to 8pm, Monday through Saturday and 11am to 7pm on Sundays.
