Five Below is a Philadelphia-based chain marketing themselves as selling “trendy, fun, and affordable finds.” They took over the Party City location at Everett Mall that closed in December 2024. It’s one of the most visible spots at the Everett Mall, which is undergoing a major redesign.
Though newer to Washington State, Five Below has 1,850 stores in 45 states. As part of its efforts to expand into Washington and take advantage of Party City’s closures, Five Below opened up 7 stores, including Everett. Here’s a list of Washington Five Below locations:
- Everett – 1402 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite 335
- Federal Way – 31417 Pacific Highway South
- Lynnwood – 2617 196th St SW, Suite 111
- Puyallup – 10408 156th Street E, Suite A101
- Plus Eastern WA locations in Union Gap, Richland, and Spokane Valley
The Everett location is next to Ulta and Trader Joes, easily seen as you first drive in. Here’s how they describe their store:
“You’ll find extreme $1-$5 value, plus some incredible finds that go beyond $5 at our Everett Mall store, making it easy to say YES and smile big with our tech, tees, sports balls, beauty, candy, remote control toys and SO much more for literally everyone!”
Having been open for a few weeks during holiday shopping season, a lot of people have been checking it out for cheap gifts.
Early reviews have been mixed. Here are a few examples:
“The name is 5 Below, but there were things that were more than $5 … Most of the stuff seems like it’s similarly priced to Target… I thought it was going to be similar to Big Lots, but it is a little different. It is much smaller and has less variety. The products are cuter though.” – Sara on Yelp
“I’ve never been to this store before and can honestly say I don’t understand the hype… i was extremely underwhelmed. Disappointed doesn’t even cover it. I walked in and thought, “this is it?”. It’s an overpriced dollar store with the same cheap crap but more expensive.” – Jenni on Google
“Cute stuff. Decent prices. Both my 11 year old daughter and 16 year old daughter loved it.” – Alicia on Google
