Posters were being put up around Everett and online of 71-year-old Daniel Lytton, who was reported missing.
He was last seen on November 5th around 11:30am near 2606 Grand Avenue. He was listed as a 5’9″ 180-pound 71-year old white male with green eyes and brown/gray hair and spoke with an British accent.
He lives nearby and was last seen wearing cargo pants, a dark shirt, and sneakers.
Lytton was listed as a landlord for several properties in Everett, owned by him and his partner, including one that sold last April.
When the posters went out, one resident mentioned her landlord, who is “such a nice fellow” has gone missing.
Residents say no one was able to get ahold of him after he went missing, and his car was found parked in front of someone’s house. He was allegedly last seen in a minivan.
The morning of Nov. 6th, a dead body was found in an alley downtown between Grand and Rucker Avenue, between California and Everett Ave by city workers doing their rounds.
The body has been identified as Daniel Lytton. The cause has not been officially determined yet by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner who lists Daniel Lytton on its decedent list with a “pending” manner of death.
His body was wrapped in a blanket and duct tape, just a couple blocks from where he was last seen.
Considering the circumstances of how the body was found, it appears to be a clear homicide case. One resident believes Daniel, her landlord, was kidnapped and murdered, with his body dumped in the alleyway.
