USPS Postal Worker Shot By Another Package Delivery Worker in Everett

October 3, 2025

Police Blotter

In an unusual set of circumstances, the Everett Police Department is reporting that a USPS postal worker was shot at an Everett apartment building by another package delivery driver this afternoon.

This is the second weird package delivery incident in two months. The last one was a DoorDash delivery where the driver set his own vehicle on fire.

At approximately 12:50 pm today, October 2nd, officers responded to the West Mall Place Apartments for the report of a shooting.

The West Mall Place Apartments, next to Everett Mall Plaza, across from the Everett Mall.

The victim, a USPS postal worker, was transported to Providence Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Amazon truck can be seen behind the USPS vehicle.

The suspect is a package delivery driver. The suspect is currently in custody.

It has been confirmed that the package delivery suspect was working for Amazon as can seen in some of the images.

Here’s an account from one witness on the Everett PD Facebook page:

“USPS workers don’t let people in the area when they have the mailboxes open.

Well the Amazon driver didn’t particularly like that, they got into an argument which escalated to a shoving match, which escalated to the Amazon driver shooting the USPS guy in The freaking eye!!!

Then he sat there calmly and waited for the cops to show up. Claimed self defense.”

The apartments are located next to the Everett Mall Plaza in South Everett at 9300 W Mall Dr, Everett, WA 98208

With USPS employees being federal workers, the FBI and postal inspector have also been called to the scene.

There is currently no danger to the public.

This is an active investigation and there are no further details at this time.
