On September 16, 2025, at approximately 9:30am, the Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit arrested the suspect driver, a male in his 60s, in conjunction with a fatal pedestrian collision which occurred on July 27, 2025, in the 500 block of W Casino Rd.
This is the incident where the victim was dragged a full mile.
Since the incident, Traffic Safety Unit investigators have worked diligently to process this collision scene, which spanned over 10 blocks.
Their efforts included the collection and analysis of video, biological and digital evidence as well as conducting several witness and suspect interviews. The detectives were also able to use data from the department’s FLOCK camera system.
The male was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for felony Hit and Run. According to jail records, the suspect is named Aziz Kouider Hella and was arrested for a Class B Felony.
