Police Blotter

Yesterday, September 10th, 2025, the Everett Police Department Special Assault Unit arrested 2 individuals on suspicion of promoting commercial sexual abuse of a minor and trafficking.

In late July of this year, an Everett police patrol officer responded to a report of a minor being trafficked.

The victim, a 17-year-old female, had disclosed to an acquaintance she was being exploited by a couple via a dating site.

The report started a very detailed investigation by Everett police detectives, which included numerous search warrants and ties to locations across the region.

The investigation determined the victim had posted a story to Instagram in late June. The suspect, a 20-year-old male, messaged the victim and stated, “Let’s make some money together.”

The male told the victim she could go on “plays” with wealthy men and could profit hundreds of dollars from each play.

Plays” was a code word for sexual encounters in exchange for money.

The male suspect proceeded to meet with the victim to set up an online dating profile for her. The victim did not have access to the website, and it was operated by the male and his partner, a 22-year- old female. Both suspects would help to arrange dates for the victim, with the understanding there would be sexual transactions from which both parties would financially profit.

Both suspects would then pick up the victim at various locations and transport her across the Puget Sound area to meet with clients.

In early August, the victim attempted to quit the operation. In response, the suspects became verbally aggressive with the victim and threatened to collect her proceeds.

Further investigation determined the 2 suspects had 7-9 women working for them at a time, one of
which was a minor as young as 13 years old.

Yesterday, the Everett Police Special Assault Unit, Criminal Intelligence Unit, Violent Crime Unit, and Anti-Crime Team, took the two suspects into custody in Kent.

In an interview following arrest, the male arrestee stated he would specifically target girls who appeared to be struggling financially and did not have a supportive community. These factors, in combination with their age, contributed to the victim’s susceptibility to the suspect’s efforts to recruit and influence them.

Both subjects were booked into the Snohomish County Jail for:

  • Promoting commercial sexual abuse of a minor
  • Trafficking 2
  • Communicating with a minor for immoral purposes

“Offenders who prey on young women online exploit trust and cause lasting harm,” said Chief John DeRousse. “Holding them accountable is essential to protecting our community, sending a clear message that this behavior will not be tolerated, and ensuring that our most vulnerable are safeguarded from those who would try to exploit them.”

According to jail roster information, the two suspects are:

  • Ismael M Alwazzan who is being held with $1,000,000 bail
  • Karina Bianca Coble who is being held with $1,000,000 bail

This apprehension is the result of a multijurisdictional effort, including the Bellevue Police Department, Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office, Seattle Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, King County Prosecutor’s Office, Kent Police Department and Puyallup Police Department for their assistance in this matter.
