A resident of Village By the Lake condos in South Everett had an unexpected visitor at 7am on Wednesday, September 4th.

Much to their surprise, they discovered a python roaming around their front door.

The snake is a ball python (Python regius), identifiable by its distinctive brown and tan blotched pattern. Ball pythons are non-venomous and commonly kept as pets.

The python is now at the Everett Animal Shelter.

Animal control was called in, and they were able to “carefully and successfully” capture the python.

The python is now at the Everett Animal Shelter and goes by the name Sir Reginald Hissington.

The snake is approximately three years old and considered small for a ball python.
