Police Blotter, Everett Fire

The driver lost control coming off 112th St SW onto 4th Ave where it struck a parked vehicle, concrete wall, and a house.

On August 27, 2025, at 12:10 a.m., the Snohomish County Sheriff Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) Detectives responded to the 10900 block of 4th Ave W, in unincorporated Everett, for a single-vehicle fatal collision.

Deputies observed the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on 4th Ave W from 128th St SW at an extremely high rate of speed.

As they attempted to catch up, the vehicle ran several red lights, nearly colliding with another car at the intersection of 4th Ave W and 112th St SW. While avoiding cross traffic, the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle then traveled approximately 200 feet before striking a parked car, a concrete wall, and a house, where it ultimately came to rest.

The impact caused the driver to be ejected from the vehicle, sustaining serious injuries.

The driver, a 19-year-old male, was transported to Providence Hospital in Everett, where he later died from his injuries.

This crash took place at the houses surrounding Olivia Park Elementary School.

CIU detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. While the investigation is ongoing, excessive speed on the part of the vehicle was likely a major contributing factor.

Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
