Guardrail Impales Car on I-5 in Everett

Guardrail seen stuck through the length of the car.

Just before 7:30 a.m., Everett Fire responded to a one vehicle collision with a guardrail on Southbound I-5, just north of Exit 189 in Everett.

The car sustained heavy damage, with the guardrail penetrating the firewall all the way to the back window.
Medic 1 transported the driver with non-life-threatening injuries. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
The Everett Fire Department wants you to make it home safely this Memorial Day and every day.

– Keep appropriate space between vehicles.
– Use your turn signals.
– Keep your eyes on the road.
– Put the cell phone down while driving.
