2nd Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at The Port of Everett

The public is invited to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Port of Everett. This is the 2nd Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Port of Everett.

The ceremony will honor and mourn those who died while serving in the U.S. Military.

Ceremony Details:

When:  11:00 am, Monday, May 26th

Where: Pacific Rim Plaza at the Port of Everett, located at 1028 13th Street (Pacific Rim Plaza is located on the south side of Hotel Indigo).

The ceremony includes:

  • Singing of the National Anthem
  • A reading of a Memorial Day Proclamation by Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin
  • Remarks by Port of Everett Commissioner Glen Bachman
  • Keynote speaker Captain Stacy Wuthier of Naval Station Everett
  • Presentation of colors, taps, the playing of Amazing Grace on bag pipes
  • An invocation and benediction by Chaplin Matheny
  • Three Port Commissioners will be in attendance.

Also happening at the Port of Everett is the Roche Harbor Yacht Club holding a Memorial Weekend Cruise at the Everett Marina.

This one isn’t open to the public, but those in the club will be spending the weekend in Everett with activities each day ranging from Kids Boat Building and Scavenger Hunts, to BBQs, Dog Olympics, Beer Tasting and group dinners.
