Police have blocked off Oakes Avenue in North Everett, just north of Funko Field and west of the Broadway Starbucks, between 36th Street and 37th Street. Please avoid the area.

It is believed to be a domestic violence matter, and Everett Police were able to obtain a search warrant.

The man had barricaded himself with a weapon in the downstairs apartment.

Update: the suspect was arrested around 2pm today without incident.

The Region 1 SWAT team is a joint venture between the Everett Police Department and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
