Everett Celebrates Kids to Parks Day 2025

The third Saturday in May is National Kids to Parks Day. This Saturday, May 17, Everett Parks will be celebrating activities with the help of several organizations, including the local Boys & Girls Clubs, the Everett YMCA, Sharing Wheels, and the Everett Rowing Association.

The following activities will take place at multiple parks across the City.

Here’s what is in store:

9:30 a.m. Forest Park: Preschool at Forest Park

Come visit the lead teachers from the Preschool at Forest Park for a craft activity and learn more about the preschool program, and how it can get your kiddo ready to start school!

10 a.m. Emma Yule Park- Everett YMCA & Sharing Wheels

Sharing Wheels and the Everett YMCA will be at Emma Yule Park for Kids to Parks Day! Sharing Wheels will conduct safety checks on kid and adult bikes. Including; adjusting the brakes; pumping up tires, and adjusting the gears. They will also do helmet checks and confirm proper fitting.

Everett YMCA will have crafts going, a sports activity, and information about water safety. Come out to Emma Yule Park to get your bike checked and have some fun!

10 a.m. Howarth Park: Saplings Outdoor School

Saplings Outdoor School will be hosting drop-in activities, a scavenger hunt, and circle time with songs and a story. Come visit the Howarth Park playground to get involved and learn more about Saplings Outdoor Preschool.

10 a.m. Thornton A. Sullivan Park: Everett Rowing Association

Interested in rowing? Not sure if you want to commit to a week of summer programming? Kids to Parks Day is your chance to “dip a toe” into the world of crew. Everett Rowing Association will be hosting activities for youth will be able to drop-in and learn rowing on the machines and then test those skills in the boats.

10 a.m. Hauge Homestead Park: Everett Library

Storytime in the park! Be ready to sing, wiggle, and help to tell the stories with Everett Public Library Librarian Aarene. Then join the Story Parade!

10 a.m. Lions Park: Cascade Boys & Girls Club

For Kids to Parks Day the Cascade Boys & Girls Club will have activity stations, and will also have different sports sports to play in the field at Lions Park. Swing by the park to have some fun and learn about the local Club.

11 a.m. Legion Memorial Golf Course: First Tee

Join Joe Richer Jr. Golf and First Tee for a free Youth Golf Clinic led by First Tee Coaches. The clinic will feature putting, chipping and mid-range iron lessons. Don’t miss out, every participant will receive $50 off First Tee summer registration and a free golf club tee! Snacks & Beverages provided too! 11 a.m. Walter E. Hall Park: South Everett/Mukilteo Boys & Girls Club & MADRES

Come out to Walter E. Hall Park to hang out with staff from MADRES and the South Everett/Mukilteo Boys & Girls Club. There will be face painting, snacks, and games! Bring some friends and stop by the park!

1 p.m. Wiggums Hollow Park: Everett Boys & Girls Club

Wiggums Hollow will have all sorts of activities for Kids to Parks Day. They will have volleyball and kickball games. Puffy paint, sidewalk chalk and bubbles. You can even bring your skateboard and practice some tricks with an Everett Boys & Girls Club staff. Come down to Wiggums Hollow Park to get involved!
