South Everett Grocery Store Robbed by Fake HVAC Technician

On Monday evening, May 5th, 2025, Everett Police Officers arrested a 35-year-old male in conjunction with an armed robbery in South Everett this past weekend.

On May 4th 2025, at approximately 6:30 am, an employee from a South Everett grocery store called police to report a male with a weapon had posed as a HVAC maintenance technician and robbed their store.

The employee stated the male displayed the grip of a gun, demanded access to the store’s safe and fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported by employees at the store.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect getting into a vehicle and driving away from the scene. Using Flock Safety’s license plate reader (LPR) system, a corresponding license plate for the suspect vehicle was quickly determined. The suspect was identified based on prior history with this vehicle.

May 5th at approximately 9:30pm, the suspect was located in Everett and arrested without incident.

He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Robbery in the 1st degree and possession of a controlled substance with no prescription.

As of this writing, no substantial amount of money stolen has been recovered.
