Two Suspects Arrested in December’s Silverlake Murder Case

On Tuesday Everett Police announced another 18-year old male was arrested in the December murder case near Silverlake. Both suspects are alleged gang members.

The probably cause affidavit alleges they lured the victim to the site of the shooting with the promise of a sexual meetup.

The first arrest was made February 25th, as members of the Everett Police Department Anti-Crime Team (ACT) and Violent Crime Unit (VCU). The second suspect was arrested exactly one week later, on March 4th.

We broke the news on the December 11th murder case, where officers responded to multiple reports of shots heard near 121st St SE and 19th Ave SE in the South End of Silverlake in the area of the Charter Club Apartments.

Officers arrived in the area and discovered the victim, a male in his 40s, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Lifesaving efforts were attempted, but he died at the scene.

Immediately following the incident, a drone and K-9 track were utilized to search for the suspect, who was not located at the time.

Since December, Major Crimes Detectives have been working to identify a suspect.

On February 25, 2025, at approximately 11:00 am, ACT, VCU, and Major Crimes Detectives arrested the first suspect, an 18-year-old male in conjunction with this incident. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Murder 2 at 12:52 pm today. According to jail documents, the suspect’s name is Bryan Hernandez-Ramirez. After arresting the second suspect, Bryan Ramirez is expected to be tried for first-degree murder as well.

The second suspect was arrested on March 4th, 2025. The second suspect is being booked for 1st degree murder. According to the jail register, the suspect’s name is Martin Mirey Alvarez. The charge lists the weapon as a non-family gun. It also lists Martin Alvarez as being charged with two cases of domestic violence in the 4th degree on December 29th, 2024.

On Wednesday, March 5th, Judge Tam T. Bui found probably cause to hold Alvarez on 1st-degree murder and set his bail at $2 million.

A search through court records shows Martin Mirey Alvarez was part of a civil protection order case in Snohomish where Alvarez surrendered a weapon.

On December 11th, Everett police believe that Hernandez-Ramirez messaged the victim about robbing someone and splitting the profits, but the victim declined and discussed a possible sexual meet-up. When the victim said he enjoyed group sex, Hernandez-Ramirez offered to bring a friend.
