Some kids participate in school sports or clubs after the regular school day ends. Other head home to play video games or do homework. 15-year-old Mark Dovgalyuk does something entirely different; he heads to work at Bargain Binz on Evergreen. A business he started.
Bargain Binz is a bargain shopper’s dream: brand new items from retail stores at cheap prices. The day you shop determines the price.
Fridays, when the bins are first filled, all items are $12.95. On Saturday, the price drops to $10. Each day the price drops further until Thursdays when everything is just $1.50.
You’ll find a random assortment of products in the bins. The current inventory comes from Target and Ace Hardware. The next pallet may be from Amazon. Many items were opened or returned, or many are unopened but didn’t sell at retail prices.
Mark’s family helps with the business, often working the hours Mark can’t be there and working out some of the more difficult logistics. Mark’s father, Paul, mentioned, “It is a fun way to set up his kids for the future.”
Mark isn’t new to the trending “bin” liquidation business. He worked for “Cheaper by the Day” in Lynnwood the previous summer and they sometimes work together on buying and storing shipments.
Occasionally something extra valuable shows up in their random pallet purchase. One time they found a new Apple Watch and another time Apple AirPods. With more expensive items they will first try to sell on Offer Up or Facebook Marketplace. If they don’t sell, in the bins they go.

A random assortment of products are for sale. You will need to dig through the bins to find your next treasure.
Though the selection is limited, they also sell clothes. All clothes are $2.99, except coats, which go for $5.99.
Bargain Binz is open 10:30am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays). Fridays are popular because that is the day when the inventory first hits the bins. Thursdays are also popular because everything in the store is at its cheapest, just $1.50.
Bargain Binz is located at 10929 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98204 If you visit, make sure you enter through the door to the right of the overhead building sign (not through the doorways under the sign).
