The Everett Fire Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a house fire just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, February 19, 2025.
2/20/25 Update: My Everett News has obtained exclusive video footage of the arsonist.
Arriving units found two under-construction single-family residences on fire in the alley of 1900 Lombard Avenue.
Fire crews arrived to find one home completely engulfed in flames, which spread to the second home under construction, resulting in exterior damage.
Four structures were affected: two homes under construction, one deemed a total loss, and the second sustaining significant damage.
Additionally, a nearby existing neighboring home and gazebo sustained minor damage.
Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the fire within approximately 20 minutes of arriving.
Fortunately, there were no injuries to citizens or first responders, and the residents of the neighboring home were not displaced.
Snohomish PUD was called to the scene to address downed power lines caused during firefighting operations. Roadways were temporarily closed but were reopened around 2:00 a.m.
Marysville Fire District and Snohomish County Fire District 15 provided additional assistance in this incident.
This matter is now under active investigation by the Everett Police Department, and no suspects are currently in custody. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Everett Fire Department.
