Both directions of Interstate 5, between Everett and Marysville, will have lane and ramp closures beginning Monday, February 3rd.

Crews continue their work to complete the I-5 and State Route 529 interchange.  Here are the specific closures that run through Friday, February 7th:

Northbound I-5 closures:

  • Two right lanes will close nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday night, Feb. 3rd, through Thursday morning, Feb. 6th, from the Snohomish River to Steamboat Slough.
  • The left lane will close from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. the nights of Thursday, Feb. 6th, and Friday, Feb. 7th, north of the 41st Street interchange to the Snohomish River.

Southbound I-5 closures:

  • The right lane and the off-ramp to SR 529 will close from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5th, to 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6th, in Marysville.

The closures are part of a project to build ramps connecting SR 529 to southbound I-5 and northbound I-5 to SR 529. The new ramps will provide additional access for people traveling to and from Marysville. Work will continue into this summer, when the new ramps will open.
