Stabbing victim, 13-year old Kessai Kios

Now that the lead suspect Andrew Freeman has been arrested, the victim of the January 16th stabbing has spoken up.

13-year-old Kessai Kios feels safer, is recovering, and now shares his story of an unprovoked attack.

On the morning of January 16th, Kessai was walking to North Middle School, where he is a 6th grade student.

As he was waiting to cross the street he was approached by the suspect from behind, who punched him in the head.

Kessai turned around, looked at the suspect for a few seconds, then saw the suspect pull out a knife and started chasing him with it.

Kessai ran through traffic across Broadway in an attempt to escape his attacker. Unfortunately, he tripped in a parking lot. Kessai went under a truck.

The suspect grabbed him and stabbed him five times.

Kessai’s family has a go fund me that has raised $4,600 at the time of writing.
