Marysville Traffic Stop Leads to Car Dragging Officer, Smashing into Costco, and Erupting in Flames

The headline sounds like a movie, but it happened in Marysville last night. A Marysville police officer initiated a traffic stop at Twin Lakes Shopping Center in Marysville they will never forget.

During the stop, an altercation took place, and the officer was dragged by the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect then drove a short distance before crashing into the Costco building, and the vehicle became engulfed in flames.

A Marysville police officer fired shots during the altercation.

The dragged officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The suspect died at the scene.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Businesses in the area underwent a lockdown as a precautionary measure. There is currently no threat to public safety.
