Nine-year-old Max Soterakopoulos of Everett won the US Kids Oregon State Invitational.

The two-day tournament, hosted at Langdon Farms Golf Course on November 16th, was a tough event, thanks to the wind, rain, and cold.

Max finished 7-under par, scoring 69 on day 1, followed by an impressive 4-under par 68 on day 2. His scorecard included 13 birdies and 1 eagle.

“I was locked in. The weather was so cold, but my putting was on fire!” exclaimed Max.

The 2nd-place finisher in his age group finished 26 strokes behind Max (two rounds combined). Max’s score was better than all participants, including 13 and 14-year olds who shot on the same course.

Max will continue his golf journey in the US Kids NWCup in January of 2025 in California.

He has also earned his 4th invitation to the US Kids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, NC.

If Max’s name sounds familiar, we featured a basketball story with him in it earlier this year.
