Fleeing Vehicle in Everett Hits 5 Bystanders, Killing 3

At 12:45 a.m. this morning, Snohomish County Sheriff attempted a traffic stop on a gray sedan driving without plates.

The driver, with two passengers, attempted to flee on Airport Way. The deputy didn’t pursue, but the driver of the sedan quickly lost control, crashing into five people in the 11700 block of Airport Rd, between the 7-11 and La Palmera in Everett.

Three of the bystanders died and two woman in their twenties were transported to Providence Hospital by Everett Fire. One was reported to have back and leg injuries, the other had multiple traumatic injuries.

Some reporting that four occupants (all juveniles) of the gray sedan attempted to flee on foot and were three were detained.

The Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit is actively investigating. No further details at this time.
