As we announced in August, the 2024 National Beard & Moustache Championships will be coming to Everett on November 1st to 2nd, 2024.
Event organizers are expecting 300 beard aficionados to compete at the Historic Everett Theatre in Everett. The competitors are traveling from across the United States, including Washington, Texas, Arizona, and California.
This year’s national championships have a variety of special events happening prior to the Championships on Saturday, November 2nd.
A Guiness World Record Beard Chain Attempt is scheduled for Friday, November 1st at 11 am. The Beard Chain Attempt will be held at the Pacific Rim Park at the Everett Marina between Hotel Indigo Everett Waterfront and Fisherman’s Jack.
Beard Chains schedule (all times tentative, please arrive early):
11:15 am – Moustache Chain
11:45 am – Partial Beard Chain
12:30 pm – Craft Beard Chain
1:00 pm – Beard Chain
“We added the Beard Chain Attempt to help set the event apart from the other facial hair competitions in the country.” stated Bryan Nelson, National Beard & Moustache Championship Creative Director. “Our initial effort in 2022 was very successful and we more than doubled the previous record. We are hoping to beat the record again in Everett this November!”
An Exhibition Show will be held on Friday, 7 pm at the Historic Everett Theatre. The divisions include: Movember Mo, Yeti Style, American Moustache, Viking Beard, PNW Style, and Veterans Beard. Sign-up will begin at 6 pm at the theatre. $5 suggested donation to compete.
The National Championships will offer multiple categories in four divisions:
- Moustaches (various lengths and styles)
- Partial Beards (Sideburns, Goatees, etc.)
- Full Beards (styles and lengths)
- Craft Beards (facial hair crafted by hand for people who cannot grow facial hair)
The 2024 National Beard & Moustache Championship presented by Death Grip Moustache Wax and Mad Viking Beard Company is benefiting Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center and Movember. Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center is a nonprofit organization providing safety, justice, and healing to victims of child physical and sexual abuse, assault, and neglect. Dawson Place Advocacy Center is in Everett, Washington.
